Crossing territories, resisting definition, the Inverted City rolls along with death defying indeterminacy, a wave function of too-many possibilities, a thousand and one stories seeking to locate the one adequate to the renaissance of experimentalism and revisioning of value that we have ahead of us. - Inverted City Introduction
Description
After A General Forum on Ethereum Localism in Portland last fall, discussions continued among participants, including friends from ETHPDX, MetaCartel, Blockscience, LexBlock, Open Civics, Codex and more. These conversations evolved into writings, collected into a journal, titled Inverted City.
The first publication of Inverted City includes 10 entries, by 7 authors, including christypdx, Exeunt, Ven Gist, BorrowLucid, Macks Wolford, Kyle Smith and Payton Rose. It’s a physical publication, distributed without cost to readers.
The global - local feedback loop is an area of research and design, it turns out, that spans legal theory, mycelial ecologies, biomimetics, placemaking strategies, organization theory, Slovenian economics, quadratic functions, all elements of a postcapitalist horizon that seems at the same time far away and right here. - Inverted City Introduction
