Heat Marketplace
A motion data marketplace being built on L1 (currently) that allows for dancers to sell their movement data as an NFT.
Manifesto:
Our mission is to bring movement data on-chain, and enable dancers to create, capture, mint, and sell their movement data through the use of NFTs.
MOVE. MINT. MONETIZE.
The Problem
Dancers currently face the same problems artists faced before NFTs became mainstream. The threshold for success is ultimately placed in the hands of a select few gatekeepers. Even if a dancer has made it through the audition process, they rarely receive an income that makes ends meet. This is because the economic realities of running a concert dance troupe are not sustainable; expenses are high, funding and revenue are low.
Solution
No auditions necessary.
The HEAT marketplace is designed to enable dancers, athletes, martial artists, or anyone that wants to move their body to monetize their work. We’re creating a new path for revenue for an industry whose model is outdated, unfair, and exploitative.
We’re also working to ensure that our NFTs are interoperable with the blockchain-based virtual worlds, effectively allowing us to create usable, customizable in-world emotes.
Current Progress/ Resources
Validation
Currently, users are limited to a specific platform’s default emotes. We believe that movement is an essential layer of self-expression that is missing, but doesn’t have to be. Today, some of the most culturally relevant and viral videos are dance moves (see TikTok). We are seeking to prove that there is a market for emotes, but also for movement-based art that can stand on its own as art.
Differentiation
To our knowledge, the heat marketplace is the first of its kind. An open-source marketplace that focuses on motion data NFTs (.glb, .glTF, .fbx, stored with IPFS or Arweave). However, it is important to note that this is just phase one of what our team is trying to accomplish on our roadmap.

- Progressive decentralization
- Launch the $HEAT governance token
- Tooling for collaboration between dancers, musicians, and visual artists (possible integration with other dapps)
