I just published an article discussing the lessons learned from Signal DAO. You can read it here.
The TL;DR - SignalDAO was a great experiment to validate that web3 enabled social interfaces increases participation. The problem is, DAOs don’t mean anything without dedicated leaders who push for votes to turn into action. Especially in a reputation-only system. For this reason, SignalDAO activity was relatively short lived.
