With the Dragon Quest Hackathon ending on April 30th and the final winners being chosen today there are 5 winning teams. We will be paying out to the teams in DAO shares or DAI as they choose.
Talking with @pet3rpan he mentioned the idea of championing some of the runners up into the DAO 1 share per hacker. I think this is a solid move because there are a lot of REALLY talented people who could be a good fit for continuing their journey with the Cartel.
So this thread is a call to all existing DAO members who have spotted or worked with any of the hackers from Dragon Quest, you think might be a good fit for MetaCartel DAO.
Post the following in this thread:
Who you are championing?
What they worked on, what they have built ?
Why you think they are a good fit for MC DAO?
I think having 2/3 DAO members support the proposal will be a valid enough signal to allow these new members into the DAO. So also include the existing DAO members names who are in support in the proposal response.
I think he’s a good fit for MC because he has been making consistent contributions to Ethereum over the last 8 years, he’s involved with Partity and PolkaDot which are aligned with our mission of bringing Ethereum to the masses, and other good things about this person etc etc
Expert organizer, He helped create the process for judging all the entries and wrangled the actual judges to be able to complete their evaluations on time (not an easy task)
Why
He offered to do all this without any compensation, in a timely and professional manor, and helped us get to the finish line for this event in a way that not many could have.
He built Minimal Governance as his first DeFi app ever built and has been picking up issues for RaidGuild and working on HelpDAO.
Why
The first apprentice from RaidGuild to entirely work his way in picking up 1 share in the DAO, also an active contributor of MetaGame I believe Saimano will add a lot more value to MetaCartel projects if given the chance.
Address for proposal : 0xE68967c95f5A9BCcfDd711A2Cbc23Ec958F147Ef
She helped me organize 15 talks for the event sponsors by moderating and hosting in the Pepo Dragon Quest Community. as well as making recordings for each team to share with hackers. She’s currently a member of MGD and also helped deliver one of the hackathon research submission: WTF is DeFi.
Why
Previously of Bounties Network Simona is an all around awesome human being, who can rally a community, bring people together, and open up opportunities for collaboration like none other.
Worked on Peer Stream as a solo effort for DragonQuest. The app allows freelancers to get on a video call with clients while they are streamed money by the minute - it uses Sablier and 3Box. She also won one of the Pepo UX awards and won the Sablier tutorial bounty.
EstoniaDAO was one of the top Dragon Quest projects.
Why
Built a really cool DAO/project, is really into the idea of DAO nation states, and cares deeply about empowering individuals and communities via things like UBI and personal/guild tokens.
